Specialty Areas: I have been working full-time as a therapist since 1984 and have been at Mid-America Psychological Services since 1989. I have an equally strong background in both mental health and substance abuse. Treatment Philosophy: I believe we all have patterns, thoughts, and stories that influence our lives and help us understand our choices and behaviors. Therapy is a cooperative process that explores personal themes to maximize strengths and mutually determine steps for desired change. Therapy also involves accessing a variety of sources for change and actively practicing new patterns and choices.

Education: Received a B.S. in psychology from Hillsdale College in 1982 and a M.A. in clinical psychology from Western Michigan University in 1986. Participates in professional seminars and education on a yearly basis.
