Treatment Philosophy:

I believe therapy is a process in which we learn more about ourselves, both more quickly and more thoroughly than we would by our own thinking and trying to change on our own. Sharing our stories, beliefs and experiences with a trained professional expands our understanding and offers new ways of behaving.

We all learn behaviors and ways of thinking from others, and our environment. We also use our own thinking and wisdom. Working with a therapist broadens our choices and abilities to find opportunities and happiness..  Among the therapeutic interventions I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Insight Therapy and an eclectic  selection of techniques derived from other models and developed from my own experience in practice over the past 35 years.
