Specialty Areas: I am an empathic listener who provides a welcoming environment where difficult circumstances and feelings can be resolved.  I work with adults, adolescents, and children in individual, couple, and family therapy.  My areas of expertise include helping people overcome anxiety, depression, obsessive thinking, compulsive behaviors, sexual orientation issues, and relationship conflicts to live more fulfilled lives.  I also specialize in treating children and adolescents in areas such as anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, behavioral problems, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), and social skills development.  My treatment helps children and adolescents access inner strength and use coping strategies to overcome problems and achieve their full potential.  Treatment incorporates work with parents and other family members as needed.

Treatment Philosophy: Therapy is a collaborative process that develops from a client’s unique life experiences and needs.  I incorporate practical tools and techniques to help people understand how to make positive changes in their lives.

Education/Experience: Master’s degree in social work from Fordham University (New York, NY).  Advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health (New York, NY).
